On the float trips, most fish caught will be 10-14". Anything over 14" is a good fish. Anything over 20" is a great fish. An average half day for beginners on my boat is 5-10 fish caught, 1 or 2 being over 14", and 1-2 SHOTS at a fish 20" or longer. This is Ken in the picture. Ken is an avid saltwater fisherman, but had never fished for freshwater trout. Ken caught about a dozen total, maybe one over 14", and this behemoth which taped out at just over 22". Ken had a GREAT day.
